This drawing of a Border Collie dog was made with a variety of graphite pencils ranging from light to dark. On the original photograph used as a reference for the realization of this drawing, certain zones of the dog did not appear clearly because they were too dark. The artist has therefore imagined these areas to increase the sensation of movement. Indeed, this dog is in full action, head down, looking in the direction of its objective. The background is blurred to accompany the movement.
