Behind the scene : What I want to share with you, as an artist.

Owls have always fascinated me. Creatures of twilight and nightfall, they are formidable hunters. With their immense golden eyes that capture even the faintest trace of light, their sharp hearing capable of detecting the slightest rustle beneath a thick layer of dry leaves, and their feathered silence that allows them to fly without a sound, they are perfectly equipped to surprise their prey. In a swift, silent dive—talons first—they leave little chance for the small rodents that make up most of their diet. Their hooked beaks are used only to tear the prey apart.

Long-eared owls nest in dense forests, while their larger cousins—the Eurasian eagle-owls—seek out expansive rocky cliffs to raise their young.

One night, on my way home, I came across a young eagle-owl standing in the middle of the road. Caught in the headlights, I saw this wild, untamed bird for the very first time. I stopped the car and turned off the engine. For a few quiet minutes, we shared a rare moment of grace—one of those fleeting encounters that happen only when you're deeply in tune with nature. Then he took flight, and the night swallowed him whole.
- Laurence Saunois

“Beneath black yews where shadows crawl,
The owls are lined up, solemn, tall—
Like foreign gods, in silence grim,
They stare and dream with glowing rim.”
— Charles Baudelaire, Les Fleurs du Mal
