ABOUT THE ARTWORK

NBCISM - An Angel in Paradise: Technical Approach and Symbolism of White

This large-format oil painting is executed on an aluminum panel. Developed with hyperrealistic accuracy, the artwork gained international recognition when it was selected by the International Guild of Realism (IGOR) for its exhibition in the United States.

Studio Anecdote

My large artist's garden, filled with flowers, is a paradise for me where butterflies flutter like angels in search of their souls. In this painting, I wanted to represent my favorite flowers: white peonies, accompanied by a butterfly in flight. To highlight the delicacy of the petals and emphasize the light, I worked the shades of white by integrating many underlying colors.

Behind the Scene

My painting represents a common butterfly of our gardens in the light of the setting sun flying over white peonies. The animal and plant world, all dressed in white, symbolizes the original beauty, purity and life. The butterfly with its outstretched wings is like an angel flying over the paradise in bloom.
