"An angel in Paradise"
THE ORIGINAL
My painting represents a common butterfly of our gardens in the light of the setting sun flying over white peonies. The animal and plant world, all dressed in white, symbolizes the original beauty, purity and life. The butterfly with its spread wings is like an angel flying over the paradise in flowers, looking for its soul.
I have a very large artist's garden filled with flowers. In this painting, I represented on an aluminum plate my favorite flowers: white peonies accompanied by a butterfly in flight. I worked the shades of white with a lot of colors to highlight the delicacy of the petals and to emphasize the light.
