The Beaux-Arts Giant has a fascinating history!
In 1999, Gerstaecker, a company with almost 60 years' experience in mail-order sales of artists' materials in Germany, decided to bring its quality of service to French artists. Under the impetus of Michaël Gerstaecker, a well-informed Francophile, the company realized its dream of being present in the country that has seen the most illustrious artists over the centuries, from the Place du Tertre in Montmartre to Saint Paul de Vence, via Auvers-sur-Oise and Giverny.
This is how Gerstaecker's French subsidiary, Le Géant des Beaux-Arts, came into being. It offers artists in France a 500-page catalog with a choice of over 15,000 items - the first of its kind in France! The catalog presented a wide and in-depth range of art supplies, while also offering a wealth of technical advice.
The success was immediate: a comprehensive choice, the best value for money, impeccable delivery and efficient service. The name of this new company perfectly summed up this desire: "Le Géant des Beaux-Arts". Over the years, the range has been constantly renewed and expanded, covering everything from drawing and painting to calligraphy, sculpture, ceramics and much more.
Today, Le Géant des Beaux-Arts is the specialist in online sales of materials for painters, sculptors, engravers and illustrators, offering year-round support. Its catalog, packed with new products and information, is a real treasure trove for passionate creators. And it's all thanks to Gerstaecker's history, closely linked to art since its creation in 1953.
