Under Louis XV, in 1761, the Haras de Pompadour became the Royal Stud thanks to the influence of Madame de Pompadour. On the day of my visit, a show jumping competition was taking place there. While the horses of the meeting were patiently waiting for their turn, the others were watching the innumerable comings and goings. This one was very attentive to what was happening in the distance on the lawn.
