Birds - Rouge-queue au piquet
"Dare Dare", Quick Analysis of a Work of Art:
In this painting, a small redstart is perched on a rusty wire attached to an old wooden post so characteristic of our Lot countryside. The bark has lifted from being abused by the weather and the sometimes hot sun of summer days. A liana with orange berries has clung to it, echoing the feathers of the bird's tail. The green background, with pastel shades, announces the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. A thin line of light is still visible but will soon fade. The bird, as if frozen, seems to be thinking about whether to stay or fly away to warmer climes.
It is this scene so typical of nature that the artist wanted to represent.
