This oil painting depicts a woodland snail, found in undergrowth as well as in gardens, moving on a peach leaf after a spring rain. The artist has captured, with precision and finesse, the textures, colors and reflections of the animal's shell and body, as well as the details of the natural setting. The work expresses a peaceful, harmonious atmosphere, with the snail moving slowly but surely towards a welcome puddle. It's an invitation to contemplate the beauty and diversity of wildlife.
This painting was exhibited at the "Masterworks Tour" organized by the International Guild of Realism in the United States. It received an award in the Art Renewal Center's international competition.
