In her very large artist's garden filled with flowers, irises are numerous. In this painting on aluminum, she depicted a white iris in the evening light. This iris took 4 years to bloom because it came from a seed.
She worked with shades of white and blue to highlight the transparency of the petals and emphasize the light..
